After looking on YouTube, I noticed the lack of tutorials on how to cover hyperpigmentation. So, I decided to film one.
My Aunt has suffered with it really bad since she fell pregnant, and struggles to cover it up with high-street makeup products.
Granted camouflage makeup isn’t as cheap as drugstore concealers, but it’s well worth the purchase if you do suffer with pigmentation, especially on the face.
Using camouflage makeup will give you the confidence to go out in public without the fear of people staring at you.
This is a ‘before & after’ of my Aunt after filming the tutorial. It’ll be live on my channel next week - www.youtube.com/smiles2310
The key product I used here was Dermacolour foundation (used in the same way as a concealer)
This product will cover everything from pigmentation to tattoos.
It needn’t be heavy as you can also purchase Derma Fluid which sheers the product down - meaning it won’t compromise the pigment of the makeup but instead it’ll become thinner, feeling less heavy when applied on the skin.
Used alone, it does need a little warming up first; I do this by applying it to the back of my hand & then on the skin pigmentation.
Getting messy, playing with texture & colour today!
I love oil paintings, and they are the inspiration for this creative mess.
This mobile shot is a small scale practice for something I’ve got in mind to shoot soon!
Check out this quirky contact lens I popped in to go with this makeup look - It’s called ‘Starburst’ and the pair are from CamoEyes.com

I depotted all of my favourite lipsticks today.
I had two of these palettes already made-up from a while back, but I bought two new empty palettes yesterday.
I’ve collected so many great lipsticks over the past year that I simply can’t carry them all around in my kit, so it’s ideal for me to crush them into these palettes as a space saver.
Today I created a bright palette & one that contains deeper shades.
If you’re starting out with new palettes & a ton of difference lipsticks, I would advise putting all them in a colour order as best as possible.
I have so many shades of Red, and ideally I would of liked to of put them in one palette in a range of dark to light shades, but I created my palettes at different times so I wasn’t able to do this.
But you would find it beneficial in picking out the shade you want if they are all together in a colour order.
You can get these palettes from a variety of makeup brands. And also rather cheaply on eBay for an unbranded version from China!
Enjoy depotting your Lippy ladies! 💄💋
Woke up to these beauties this morning!!
alexapersicocosmetics sent me a package full of goodies to try out, and the first thing I wanted to swatch was these beautiful lipsticks.
The colours are amazing - very girly and they feel so silky.
The lipsticks take a couple of swipes to gain a nice opacity, but then we all swipe ‘left to right’ then back to the left again when applying lippy, so these are great if you only want a wash of colour on your lips or if you wish to build up intense colour.
There are 11 shades in total on Alexa’s website, covering a nice range of colours.
From having only swatched these lipsticks, the staying power was ridiculous! I couldn’t budge them off my arm, I had to use Abschminke by Kryolan. It’s an emollient that is great at removing stubborn makeup products.
So if the swatching is anything to go by, these lipsticks will definitely stay in place!
Alexa Persico lipsticks retail at $12.99 each.

It’s all about Summery nails right now. And I love nothing more than to sport a beautiful French Polish, as it never fails to make to your nails look fresh & well manicured.
But why not add a hint of summer to your French mani?
Here, I hand painted Blue flowers on top of my shellac to make them look extra special! And it’s become super popular with my clients the past couple of summers.
I prefer to use good old Acrylic paint to create my designs. Many of the paints sold on the market specifically aimed at nail art seem to be too wishy-washy, and you need density when creating ‘one stroke’designs. Otherwise, when you blend the two colours together to create petals the paint can become see-through, so you then end up having to layer the paint a number of times to gain a good opacity.
Plus once acrylic is in place & it’s sealed in it just doesn’t move.
