Who doesn’t love a bit of glitter?! This was the process of a test run I did for a photo shoot.
This gave a whole new meaning to being ‘covered in glitter!’ My flat was coated for weeks.
I applied the glitter on top of latex with an old dry makeup brush.
Rockstar nails!
Hot Pink glitter burnished into Tutti Fruitti Shellac.. I love how these nails really pop in the light. Shame the photos never do them justice.
These are freshly cured, so please excuse the excess glitter specks & solar oiled fingers.

I tried out a smokey eye, teamed with LIT Cosmetics glitter in ‘Nightlife’ for my night out last night.
Here is how to get this look!
*Apply a primer to the lid (I used Urban Decays primer potion)
*Next I smudged Avon’s Supershock Gel Liner in Brown all over the lid, and then blended it at the socket.
This works as a base for the eyeshadow to stick to, as well as create opacity to the lid.
*Taking Louise Young - Essential Eyes palette, I pushed the colour PomPom (a dark Brown) over the gel liner that I’d already applied. Then I softened the edges of the product at the socket.
*Taking the lighter Brown shade in the palette, called Maowi, I blended that through the socket and feather the colour up. This creates a nice gradient - key for a smokey eye.
*After that, I took BlackBear which is the Black eyeshadow in the palette, and I patted that over the lid on top of the Brown.
It’s key to sandwich the colours when creating a smokey eye. You don’t want a wishy-washy colour of Black on the lid. You want depth, and you also need a silky base of shadow on the lid to then blend the Black onto. Otherwise Black eyeshadow can sometimes just stick in one place and look patchy.
*I then feathered a little more Maowi at the socket, meeting the Black shadow so they blended nicely.
Now, it’s up to you if you want to keep this as a ‘rounded’ eye look. I pulled mine out slightly at the corners, creating an almond / wing shape, as this suits my face more.
To do this, I literally just used what was left on my brush of the Brown eyeshadow, and created a small 90• angle ‘V’ shape at the corner. By only using what is left on the brush, it gives a softer, smokey finish.
*I added Supershock Gel Liner Pencil in Black (by Avon) along my waterline, and I also smudged that under the lower lash line too.
*Then using a small amount of BlackBear from the LY palette on a pencil brush, I blended over the smudged pencil. This sets the liner, preventing any extra movement from body heat.
*Glitter time! LIT Cosmetics provide a ‘Glitter Glue Base’ liquid suitable for wear on the eyes. So using a little of that on a brush, I applied it to the lid only. (Make sure to dab it on, and not drag it as you don’t want to disturb the eyeshadow you’ve laid down)
Then I dipped that same brush into the ‘Nightlife’ glitter and patted that onto the wet lid, making sure I covered the entire surface.
Keep looking down until it dries, which only takes about 20 seconds, otherwise you could transfer the glitter above the socket line.
*Apply mascara and some falsies, and the look is complete!
