Here is another lip look I created on a recent shoot, inspired by some other creative images I’ve seen recently!
I used a purple face paint to cover the entire lip surface. Then I mixed in a touch of white face paint with glycerin, and on top of that I placed a small drop of purple eyeliner from LimeCrime, which i swirled around with a tiny brush. And then finally added in was an electric Teal eyeliner from No.7, which was the additional product to top it off!

I’ve seen many MUAs (makeup artists) creating some lip looks with drips and splashes of colour.
So I decided to jump on the bandwagon and use their images as inspiration for a couple of looks such as the one above.
I used LimeCrime Lipstick in Cosmopop (pastel orange mango shade) to cover the entire lip surface, and then in the centre of the lips I applied Sleek Makeup Pout paint in Orange. To create the drip, I mixed the pout paint in with a bit of glycerin!
Our retoucher, Stefka Pavlova, created a couple of colour combos in post production to create this funky image! :)
Here is a quick look I created yesterday for a feather & latex shoot.
Blue gradient lips using a LimeCrime lipstick in the centre, and a Blue pout paint from Sleek around the outer edge of the lips.
For the eyes, it’s a simple look. I didn’t want anything to precise or neat, so I used a splayed out brush and dragged Black face paint up and out around the eyes. I made a stencil with tiny hole in and sprayed through it using my airbrush. I filled in the centre of the lids with the same Black face paint, and sprayed over it with my airbrush for a more opaque look. Then I added a hint of watery blue to the edges, using the same technique.
I placed some AB Flip Swarovski crystals at the corners just to spruce it up a bit. Feather lashes added to match the feathers in the outfit - Done!
I saw this creative makeup and just had to share!
MUA - Sandra Holmbom made her lips look like an eye! Sandra even added eyelashes on to her lips to make the “eye” appear more realistic - Love it!

Juicy Lips!
I wanted to create some plump over the top lips but without them looking like the model has had fillers.
One key factor when emphasising the lips with Lipliner is make sure the corners meet.
For this particular look, I found it worked best by drawing the top line above the natural lip line, and making this the furthest point at the corners (by a millimetre).
Then drawing the bottom lip line in a very slight curve at the corners, to tuck in nicely underneath.
If you were to draw the bottom lip line outwards to be the furthest point, it would make your model appear like she was falsely smiling - a bit too clown like.
I chose to white out the face, to make the lips the focal point.

No She Didn’t
This is a close up of the lips from my recent shoot with Martin Higgs & Sam Englebrecht.
On the lips are Lime Crime’s ‘Kaleidoscope’ & ‘Candy Apple’.
Resembles a galaxy, what with all the glitter from the gloss!
I lined the lips using MACs ‘Nightmoth’, colouring in the outside edges. Then I took MACs ‘Brick’ pencil and coloured in the centre of the lips.
Lastly I took the two Lime Crime lip glosses to coat the top of the lip pencil. I used ‘Kaleidoscope’ first and coloured the outside edges, then I used the ‘Candy Apple’ shade to colour in the centre of the lips. I used my Kryolan lip brush to feather the edges of the glosses together.
